How to find your Google review link

Google gives every Business Profile a short link that opens the review form directly. That is the link to put in your QR code, not the address of your profile.

  1. Sign in to the right Google account

The one that manages your Google Business Profile.

  2. Search for your business name on Google

Your profile shows up with its management buttons, above the results.

  3. Click “Ask for reviews”

On some accounts the button is still called “Share review form” or “Get more reviews”. A window opens with your link.

  4. Copy the link and paste it above

It looks like https://g.page/r/…/review. Your QR code is created right away.

On your phone

Open the Google Maps app, tap your profile picture and open your business profile. The “Ask for reviews” button is there too.

No access to the profile? Use the Place ID

Every place on Google Maps has an ID (Place ID), often starting with ChIJ. Look up your business in Google's tool below, copy the ID and paste it into the field: the generator turns it into your review form link.

Where to put your Google review QR code

Next to the register

That's when customers have their phone in hand. A small standing 4 x 6 sign is easy to spot without cluttering the counter.

Where people wait

Tables, the waiting area, the chair at the salon: when people wait, they have time to scan.

With one sentence, out loud

“If you enjoyed it, a Google review really helps us, the QR code is right here.” Keep it short and never push.

Don't offer anything in exchange for a review, not even a discount: Google's policies forbid it. Ask every customer the same way and let each one write what they want.

Want to ask at the right moment?

A QR code at the counter only works if customers think of scanning it. With a Passcard loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, your regulars get a review request on their card the evening of their visit, only once. The link to your review page then stays in their card.

Frequently asked questions

01

How do I get my Google review link?

Signed in to the account that manages your Business Profile, search for your business on Google and click “Ask for reviews”. Google shows a link like https://g.page/r/…/review that you can copy.

02

How do I create a QR code for Google reviews?

Copy your Google review link, paste it into the generator at the top of this page, then download the QR code as a PNG or the counter sign as a PDF. No account needed.

03

Is the Google review QR code free? Does it expire?

It is free and needs no account. The QR code holds Google's own link, with no redirect service in between, so it keeps working as long as your profile and its review link exist.

04

Review link or Place ID: which one should I use?

The link from the “Ask for reviews” button is the simplest. If you cannot access the profile, the Place ID gives the same result: the generator turns it into your review form link.

05

Does the QR code work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The camera of an iPhone and of most Android phones reads QR codes without an app. Customers tap the link that appears and land on the review form.

06

What size should I print the QR code?

Keep it at least 1.2 inches wide, with a white margin around it. The 4 x 6 sign suits a counter, the 5 x 7 a window or a wall. For a bigger poster, the SVG file stays sharp at any size.

07

Can I offer a reward for a Google review?

No. Google's policies forbid any incentive: discount, free item, loyalty stamp or prize draw. You can ask every customer for a review, the same way, without promising anything.
